Subject: Bad experience - w/ Supercut

FIRST CASE

NEVER GO TO SUPERCUT!

I had a real bad experience myself too! Pass this on to your friends and colleagues.

A stylist named Michael did my hair at compass point supercut. I told him I wanted to cut or trim e.g. cutting a new hairstyle that maintains at my length (had straight medium long rebonded hair). He insisted that I either perm or do rebonding. I told him my hair was straight so I dun need a rebond and told him my bf looks young and if i were to perm, i would look older. Guess what he told me?

"Change a new bf lah! Find an older one".

I was quite pissed off already by his remarks. Then he showed me a Jap magazine of a permed hair. Ok the girl had small perms only at the end.

But I still don't want to perm. Later, a lady washed my hair. After that I sat there for almost 45 mins before he returned to me to ask my choice. I still insisted to cut only. He shook his head and told me either to do rebonding or perm and he walk off to attend another customer. This time, I waited till my hair dried off and the lady came to rewash my hair again. After that, he came back and psycho me to perm

He told me he would do little perm only. What I din know was he actually perm starting from my ear. I told him it was high and he said trust him

Then after everything, the perm dun look like the magazine and it was a different kind. The curls are those types of traditional auntie curls. I was so angry I told him to cut off the perm. He replied and told me if that was what I wanted in the first place, then he won't perm my hair.

SICK!! And he just simply does a straight cut to cut off my hair. When I went back, my head look like a mop. I had to retrim my hair.

I called to complain and guess what, the manager told me that this guy had a lot of complaints also. She said that she would watch out on him.

I think its best for us to WATCH OUT ourselves and NEVER, NEVER GO TO SUPERCUTS.

SECOND C ASE

Pls be warned about Supercuts.

About two months ago (26 August 2003), my friend and I went to Supercuts at Wisma to do soft bonding. Everything looks beautiful only until I reached home. I realized that a patch of my hair felt very rough and when i looked into the mirror, it was very fizzy as compared to the rest of my hair... I was devastated. I went back to the salon 4 days later to question the hairstylist, Mr Abby Cheong. To my dismay, he started blame pushing after going through my hair.

Firstly, he said that it's because I did not purchase the necessary shampoo and conditioner for rebonded hair so that's why my hair became fizzy. But for those who have did rebonding before, you would know that you dun shampoo your hair till 3-4 days later.... so from the day i did rebonding till Saturday i did not shampoo my hair except on Friday night (cos i was hoping perhaps if i washed my hair, it will not be fizzy anymore but to my disappointment it did not become better). And it's definitely not caused by the normal shampoo as it was already fizzy and rough the night i went home after rebonding!!!

Secondly, he said that the condition of my hair is not good that's why it caused the fizziness...But even if my hair condition is not good, why is it that the fizziness only formed at certain area and not the whole head??

Thirdly, he said that the roots of my hair is dry... Hellos!! Everyone knows that the ends of the hair are the driest and not the root of the hair. And even if the root of my hair is dry, why is it that the fizziness only formed at certain area and not the whole head??

Fourthly, he said that my hair is not a "virgin" hair before i did my rebonding that's why.... He said that i dyed my hair just before i did rebonding but that's not true... During the day when i did my rebonding he asked me if i wanted to dye my hair cos my colors have faded after 3-4mths.... So clearly my hair's fizziness i s not caused by the dye and yet he got the nerve to say that my hair is not "virgin" hair....

He even compared my hair to my friend's who went with me... saying that hers is "virgin" hair when she did her rebonding as she did her rebonding first before dying her hair.... Rubbish!! My friend's hair have gone through several rebonding, coloring and bleaching before she did the soft bonding at Supercuts and mine is only the second time i am doing rebonding....

And lastly, he said that two months later its will be okie already lar.....but dear friends, two months is almost up and my hair is still the same and it feels worse cos the part where is became fizzy was entangled together, makes combing very very difficult.

Also from one of my colleague who has gone to Supercuts in Tiong Bahru years ago, the same thing happened to her. I am really very disappointed. Not only that they did not offer to help, they started giving me all sorts of reasons to push all the blame to me by saying that i did not use the right shampoo to my non "virgin" hair.... So many reasons that I am even confused that what are the exact reasons that caused it. I am also disappointed with myself for not finding out more about the salon before going.

Hereby, I would like to make use of this opportunity to warn all my friends, of Supercuts.

Don't go there, seriously. Pass the message around yah....

P/S: According to another salon, the stylist have told me that the unskillful stylist has burnt the roots....

THIRD CASE

I went to Super Cuts at Compass Point earlier this year for some hair colouring and trimming. I was informed about the promotion they are having. i tink itz about 30% off all services if I'm not wrong. Ok..i understand that a PRESTIGIOUS salon like them would not charge cheap but still, i decided to give it a try.

Before u start all the treatments, the counter gal will tell u how much it will cost and things like that. So she told me that they have to charge me $150 after discount (after hair trimming) for hair colouring and $28 for haircut. I agree though i normally pay less that $120 for my long hair. They got this so-called experienced hair stylist to attend to me. She looked at my hair then ask me if I'm ok to start off with the colouring 1st coz she will need to attend to other customers 1st. Of coz, it makes no difference to me. Then she got some NEW gal to colour my hair, whom i tot should have some standard. When shez done with that, I realised that she has not done a good job coz i can still see few patches of uncoloured hair on top of my head. When i complained this to the stylist, she still ask the gal to patch it for me. The gal keep asking me, "DUN HAVE MEH?? DUN HAVE MEH?? SEE SEE. CANNOT SEE MEH??" halo..either I'm colour blind or U'r blind!! the stylist oredi point out the mistake!! but still, she unwilling me did the patch-up for me. so angry at this point..the best part, the counter gal came to me and said that I had actually coloured my hair before trimming so itz at another rate!!! HEY!!! ITZ UR STYLIST WHO ASKED ME TO DO SO LEH!!! i kicked up a big fuss and she refused to let go. i told her straight off, I TOTALLY DISAGREE OF PAYING THE XTRA! tink she got no much choice..but to agree with me.

dun tink they did a good job on my hair. the counter gal still tell me that it future, if this thing really happen, they have to charge me a different price oredi!! can't u see that itz not my fault??? c'mon, i told her :" oh, dun worry about that, coz i'll never step into this place again!" a little too much...but REALLY CANNOT TAHAN LEH!! since then, i've told every single person i noe abt this and warn them not to go there at all!! bad experience, bad service, bad job, and bad charges!!
